The selection of a classic stylistic model for remodelling a home serves the desire to own a piece of history. Villa Jebb recalls houses in the countryside, showing poise and presents order and serenity. Its ground plan revolves around a large central representative body, from where identical wings unfold which lose height as they move toward the front and embrace the main entrance. The rear façade repeats the pattern with a inverted plant, having the porch as prominent place.
ARCHITECTS VISION IN MALAGA
The Villa Jebb is a project of detached house with garden and private pool. It is situated in the urbanization of Cabopino in Marbella, province of Malaga. The house, with a total built area of 340 square meters, has 2 levels plus a basement. The configuration of spaces maintains the traditional line being less private areas on lower floor and bedrooms upstairs. Although we find on ground floor two bedrooms, the two main ones are at the top level. Considering the developments which have taken on the form of inhabiting spaces in recent years, the kitchen takes greater prominence and is now also a place of service, a much more spacious room to meet.
These architects designed homes paying attention to customer needs and demands of modern life. Architecture within traditional concepts is flexible and adapts to changing times.
At compositional level, a classic trend appears in its forms with common materials in the immediate environment. Pitched hipped ceramic tile roof and aggregation of volumes in asymmetric forms configure the building. From the street we see a tight image of the house, where the bulk prevails of the gap. This is the elevation of the main entrance. Towards the garden façade shows a predominance of holes, of mayor dimensions. The relationship with the garden is much more intense than clearly intentional.
