CORTIJO DEL AIRE – GRANADA

The land on which we operate has an area of 9.101 M².

The constructed area is of 4,433 m² above ground.

The whole project consists of 22 semi-detached houses with private pools in Granada.

The main concept is the creation of a complex consisting in semidetached and overlapping houses, characterized by a volumetric composition, full of movement and design.

It envisions a type of housing with a program of functional needs, extensive development in tourist areas, adapted to the geographical and topographical characteristics of the zone.

Cortijo del Aire is a community thought from the simplicity of the design which enhances its practical possibilities.

The easy access, clarity of communicative design and attractive volumes, the brightness of its domestic distribution and luminosity are the synthesis committed to the quality of a versatile project open to the taste and desires of its owners.

Among the different options offered by the housing market, the semi-detached houses have become an attractive product.

THE ARCHITECTS VISION IN GRANADA:

Cortijo del Aire is a project of 22 semi-detached homes designed for a rectangular plot with elongated proportion in Albolote, Granada. Each house has a garden and a private pool area.

The architects have devised a scheme of positioning in the plot that allows circulations to be fluid and that road traffic does not cause discomfort in homes.

Consists to place the property in two recessed parallel strips in respect to the surrounding streets, leaving the gardens as a separator element between houses and public roads.

The two home bands in turn are separated by a small private footpath private. Home bands are located on slightly uneven heights.

Among the project alternatives, this Architecture Firm in Granada proposes a contemporary architectural image of the set. Semi-detached houses with different elevations appear to be one piece. With outstanding formal asymmetries and a basic set of no more than 4 materials for the façade.

The stone, glass and wood are protagonists in these parts. They are designed from a prism composition with orthogonal edges among which a curved piece with vertical proportions stands out providing a slight movement to the overall image.

The incoming and outgoing volumes cast elegant shadow planes that enrich the perspectives of the houses.
