URBAN PLANNING

GUANAJUATO – MEXICO

The land on which we operate has an area of 8 hectares, for a development of 100 single-family homes , clubhouse, swimming pools and a commercial area along the existing roadway.

Among the aesthetic sensations may be experienced in an urban area, the integration with the environment is one of the most rewarding. The Lejona is a project of residential and commercial areas that are inserted into the landscape with delicacy, which takes advantage of its virtues to accomplish them with a careful treatment of spatial conflicts with little detriment of its original state. The facilities crowed together to facilitate the performance while open to the periphery in order to allow the enjoyment of its contemplation.

THE ARCHITECTS URBAN PLANNING VISION IN MEXICO:

This project consists of a mixed urban development in Guanajuato, Mexico. On a land of 8 hectares, this study of architecture proposes a parceling of about 100 detached houses with common areas of gardens and swimming pool, a social club, and a commercial area. The challenge of the project will reconcile the different uses and the relationship between them in this area of 8 hectares.

From a proposal circulation, which is the result of logic and aims to facilitate the mobility of users, architects have developed the different uses. The commercial area has been raised in the north and the houses occupied the rest of the land divided into three groups. The common areas of the residential part are located in the central area surrounded and in turn protected by the positioning of the houses.

The development of the circulation is not just about the connection between different points that allow mobility, also by studying in what way this mobility occurs. For this, planners have made a thorough study of the section of the different types of proposed streets. Sections of friendly proportions, with wide sidewalks that grant priority to pedestrians and streets flanked with medium scale trees.

An urban planning should be developed at all scales, from the domestic scale to territory scale. The mix Planning of Guanajuato in Mexico is a good example of how all scales, well worked lead to a perfectly executed project.
