TORRE ALMENARA IN TANGIER – MOROCCO
In Morocco the land on which we operate has a surface of 1,255 M².
The total constructed area of 20,291 M² is above ground and 2,300 M² in basements.
The project TORRE ALMENARA is a unique building of sixteen floors, targeting 50 residential apartments, business center, shops and two floors for parking and building services.
Almenara is a symbol of modernity in Tangier, a commitment to Western progress as a social and economic concept. The building, slightly with an uneven uneven ground, bets on a division of two unequal wing trace and an original resolution, joined by the central services area. Expressed on the outside by ladders that favors the view and disrupts the uniformity of the façade.
VISION OF MOROCCO ARCHITECTS IN THIS ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT
The rotation or jog could founded on the ground of the building was a determining factor in the development of this architectural design in Morocco. Architects in Morocco take advantage of the jog to form three distinct bodies. In the center are located the cores with vertical connection, elevators and stairs. Moreover, the stair is visible in the elevations, clearly showing their use as vertical communication and between the two lateral bodies.
Each lateral body, aside for housing, is approached by designers differently. One of them is presented as a prism of straight and sharp edges, drilled by the openings of the windows in an orderly and more conventional way. The other body is displayed in glass, with a slight curve that makes it more slender, with continuous windows in all floors and a more contemporary design. These three elements rest on a foundation aimed for commercial premises, also composed by a set of curved lines on one side and straight on the other. The access to this commercial area poses a portico and the main access to the building is under a glass cantilever.
These architects in Morocco have already developed similar projects with this architectural design in Tangier, Morocco, Demonstrating mastery in construction adapting to other cultures in other places without losing the identity of their work. It is not the only example of projects carried out in Morocco, as they have extensive experience in this country, having made townhouses, office design, refurbishment of private housing, urbanization , etc.
