Gonzalez & Jacobson Architecture is managing the construction of Pinares Hills in Pinares de San Anton, Malaga. This architectural project comprises 13 detached contemporary villas, co-designed with Pedro Rodríguez Losada Architect.

The Marbella-based architectural firm continues to make progress on the 10 single-family homes being built in Pinares de San Anton, which are part of a project of 13 homes in total.

The majority of the work in progress is structural and containment, with the exception of Villa 7, where masonry and installation work has begun.

In recent weeks, significant progress has been made on the gabion wall containment. This earth retaining and platform-forming structures, using wire mesh baskets or cages filled with stones and boulders, offer an advantage over concrete walls in terms of rapid progress.

The use of these construction and ground securing processes in the organization and planning of such a complex project, involving hillside buildings with several terraced levels, is of great advantage and benefit. They also represent a valuable element in the landscape.
