The architectural firm of Gonzalez & Jacobson in Marbella is constructing retaining walls for an architectural project for a single-family villa with pool in Benahavis, Malaga.
Retaining walls are structures used to retain the soil and prevent landslides. Their construction is very common in projects that require land leveling and the creation of stable platforms.
There are a variety of retaining walls, and depending on their characteristics, each is designed to adapt to different situations and needs.
Attached are some images of the construction of the retaining wall for the villa in Benahavis. They show the following aspects:
Execution of the micropiles, beams, and anchors.
Diagram of the anchors.
Elevation developed by the structural engineers, showing the micropiles, beams, and anchor distribution.
Overview of the project. In addition to the retaining wall, micropiles are being driven for the house’s foundation.
This specific wall will serve to retain the development’s road and the vehicle access ramp to the house.
