PRIVATE HOUSING QUERETARO MEXICO

This private detached house in Queretaro, Mexico, is a clear example of the contemporary in designs that this architecture studio in Marbella, Malaga is developing. Designers have taken a step forward in the design of projects that not only seek modern formalisms but also a new way of living. Live the project otherwise, enjoy and squeeze the virtues of every space of the property..

For these contemporary designs, architects base their projects in pure and honest forms. An expression is given by the aggregation of white cubic volumes which contain the main rooms of the house and take on a sculptural look. These volumes contrast with the appearance of a curved plan finished with clear color stone and the other in dark stone. The final image of the project becomes a game of balance and contrast between horizontal and vertical shapes, hollow and solid, high and low volumes. An image with clear edges and bounding planes of light and shadow filling the facade of depth and movement.

This project adds to a long list of contemporary homes designed in a variety of countries such as Angola, Mexico, Morocco, Spain and Norway. Each adapted to the culture, climate, conditions of the place, but always keeping the bases of the current movement, without losing the identity that represents their study and work.

COMPLEJO RESIDENCIAL EN MÉXICO

RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX – MEXICO

This modern residential complex in the state of Mexico is developed on a plot of triangular shape and with a large split level. These conditions have been for the architects a major feature while designing the 5 single family homes that are located on it. The plot has been subdivided into rectangular plots on which each house is positioned. Thus, houses are centered and keep a parking space, also have access to a rear garden as an area with more privacy.

Each house is designed on two levels; a ground floor with common areas and on the upper floors the bedrooms and a small family room. From the formal look to the configuration of the interior spaces, these are based on contemporary and modern architecture. Spaces fit more to diaphanous and current proportions. Also on the ground floor occur successions of open spaces that give the house more flexibility.

Despite maintaining pitched roofs, elements that enhance the flatness of the entire set are added. A very balanced image with a set of volumes is compensating from contrasts. Address concepts to create sensations. Consistency in shaping the housing program has led the architects to overturn the common areas into the garden and pool area, to establish a visual and even physical relationship at certain moments. Relate the inside with the outside trying to melt the boundaries and enrich the spaces.

ACCESO CONJUNTO RESIDENCIAL LA PORTA EN MEXICO

RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX ACCESS LA PORTA IN MEXICO

Access to the residential complex La Porta in Mexico is practically a sculptural exercise. The project consists in saving a big split level and also cross a public road. The proposal involves two main elements: a gateway and a piece of vertical connection.

The gateway is designed as a transparent piece with exposed structure as a truss beam where slashes appear almost randomly and serve as an aesthetic element. The vertical connecting piece is shown solid, more opaque and with curved volumes.

In this project we can see how this study of architecture manages that design does not have to be at odds with functionality. The aim was simple, a powerful idea and a very clean execution. One of the main features to obtain this very balanced image is the right choice of used materials. Therefore not only by the material itself, but by the use of a minimized color palette that expresses a lot with very little.

This work is a good example of the variety of proposals and issues on which these architects are involved: collective family housing projects, buildings for the commercial and tourism sector. Extensive experience in such varied fields allows them to have more control of the possible solutions to problems. An architecture that’s has never stopped learning and always practicing vanguard architecture.

HOTEL CONCEPT IN MEXICO CITY

The hotel project for the city of Mexico proposed by this study, converts fantasy and architecture into the same concept. They go hand in hand in the development of this work. With the highest technical rigor and coherence, architects transform an idea into an elaborate project.

The proposal consists of three major elements. A large base of 3-storey building that provides strength to the assembly with a ventilated facade that filters the light despite displayed as a piece of great visual weight. A second element that makes up the main body of the hotel, with more than 15 story high, lodging the rooms and casts a sober and elegant image due to a large curtain wall. And finally, the piece that fills the complex movement: a belt constructed of prefabricated red parts that seem to surround the hotel and in some cases go through it. From the deck and to the same ground level, down around the other two parts and even to the main entrance area. It serves as a unifying element of the project, conveying an image full of movement. In addition, attached to this piece, the architects have located a set of solar modulated with the same proportions as the prefabricated that compose it, providing a sustainable energy support to the hotel complex.

This project adds to a long list of works based on contemporary lines, designed from the most current and vanguard concepts.

CORPORATE OFFICE BUILDING QUERETARO MEXICO

For this project 3 different alternatives were given, but they all have some important characteristics in common. They are a modern example of mastery of materials as well as for the construction and forming an idea. Architects present great minimalist pieces with glass enclosures where we can appreciate the very aesthetic edges of the framework, marking the different floors of offices and homes. They are buildings with a very contemporary look, low visual weight imaginatively topped with curved pieces, in contrast to the architecture of straight lines on which it stands.

Each proposal, despite being part of a different approach, is bold and at the same time coherent. They are the result of a detailed study by the designers, who have taken into account not only the program needs, but also the characteristics of the place, the urban look and immediate surroundings. Based on these data, the results presented have been obtained, giving the customer the option to choose.

This contemporary corporate office building is located in Queretaro, Mexico. The Architectural Designs Firm Gonzalez & Jacobson has previously developed projects in Mexico, Spain, Morocco and other countries. This experience provides them with greater skills, at the time to adapt to different cultures and building traditions, making its architecture belong to the place where it is done and not themselves. Never losing the identity of their work while they are sensitive to the environment and culture where they are.

ARQUITECTURA MODERNA EN HUIMILPAN MÉXICO

RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX – HUIMILPAN MEXICO

Finca Real del Mallorca, is a residential complex of 12 semi-detached family houses in Huimilpan, Mexico, with private parking and a small patio adjoining several service areas. On a plot of elongated proportions, the positioning of the buildings is simple and neat. They are arranged in two parallel rows of 8 and 4 houses.

The functional scheme for the housing proposes the common areas on the ground floor: living room, kitchen and toilet. Upstairs the bedrooms and a small living room are arranged. The formal image of the building bases its lines on contemporary architecture. A design made from the aggregation of volumes that each space contains. From the outside we can see that each piece corresponds to a certain room or area. This offers a very logical reading of the functioning of the houses. A very honest architecture that expresses with its image what somehow happens inside.

Although the houses are paired and symmetrical, the architects have tried different materials on the facades of each one of the two residences. In this way they get a more heterogeneous picture, giving the feeling of being one piece instead of two equals. They design incorporates a number of nuances that greatly enriches the image of the residential complex. The facades are full of jutting small pieces one over the other that cast elegant shadow planes filling the facades with depth and making them much more attractive.

ECOLOGICAL HOTEL IN QUERETARO MEXICO

The architecture becomes fantasy in this project in this Hotel in Queretaro, Mexico. A bold design and elegant gives shape to a hotel mainly composed of a single elongate piece wrapped in turn by a curved roof that goes down to the floor and rests lightly on him. A contrast between straight lines and curves, static and dynamic. Over this curved roof are placed some solar panel batteries that will provide energetic support to the whole building.

The main piece that houses the program of the project is presented with some clear aesthetically simple facades, rhythmic in the appearance of the hollows. Flat facades, with no elements, that throw shadows, as sober as elegant in it presence. The image transmitted by this principal part fits as enhancing element of the second part, much more chaotic and dynamic. A balance between the two elements occurs. They could not understand the project without one of the two. They complement so, that one wraps the other, gives protection from the sun, marks the main entrance and has integrated part of the energetic support.

This study seeks the contemporary architecture in their designs, the ultimate expression in form and perfect integration of their work with the environment. Adapting their proposals to the different cultures of the places is very important issue to this study and never loosing their identity of their work a goal.
