About This Project: URBANIZATIONS – LOMAS DEL FLAMENCO

DESCRIPTION:

The land on which we operate has an area of 21,000 M².

The constructed area is 23,000 M² above ground and 6,000 M² in the basement for parking and storage.

The project is comprised of 10 buildings with a total of 178 apartments and a pool area.

The fusion between nature and architecture creates a framework for habitation which sublimates the senses and become the dream of a life that respects the chosen scenario. Loma del Flamenco is a communities that is clustered in a narrow strip of land without ostentation or excesses. Incorporates stone and vegetation in facades and releases its large roofs with open sloping hollows.

The apartments are arranged equidistant around a central distributor which is accessed by direct input paths.

 

SYNOPSIS PROJECT BY THE ARCHITECTS IN MIJAS, COSTA DEL SOL:

Urbanization “Lomas del Flamenco” in Mijas, Málaga, is a project in which the urban design and planning of spaces, paid a very particular attention. The key to this project remains in the right development from this point of view, allowing the perfect execution of the rest of the process. In this case, a plot with slightly triangular shape, but sinuous edges, the architects have chosen to place the 10 collective family housing blocks on the perimeter, leaving the space for gardens and in the center the pool area. Thus, the central space is sheltered by the buildings, protecting it from street noise and the lookout of foreigners.

Also, the blocks have two faces, a more urban looking outwards, and a more open and transparent geared towards gardens and swimming pool. All the design is a consequence of consistency.

These architects have worked and developed projects with similar characteristics along the Costa del Sol in Spain. They have also done work in countries such as Morocco, Brazil, Angola and Norway. In every place different culture and conditions are presented, but this study of architecture has always been able to adapt to these environments and meet all requirements without losing the identity of its work, keeping always their own style. Bringing an idea to the end, being flexible and making the most of every situation is part of its signature.
